Sesshomaru

FEAR THE FUZZY BOA.

Call me Fluffy again...I dare you!

Sesshomaru is (other than Naraku) the main villain of InuYasha. He shares blood with InuYasha as they are half-brothers. But Sesshomaru despises his sibling because InuYasha is only half-demon (or, hanyou) where Sesshomaru is a full demon (or, youkai). He is always accompanied by the INCREDIBLY irritating frog-thing, Jaken. He also takes care of a young girl named Rin (see her bio).

He carries two blades: one is the Tenseiga. Although, according to its maker Toto-sai, its power is just as great as the Tetsusaiga's (InuYasha's famous sword), Sesshomaru calls it useless; The Tenseiga cannot cut. It is a healing sword and if the carrier is truly pure of heart, the Tenseiga can bring back 100 people back from the dead with one sweep. Of course, one might not expect Sesshomaru, a known human hater, to be able to use this, but he has used it twice  to my knowledge (once on Jaken as a test and later on Rin to save her from death).

The second sword is the Tokijin. It was created by Toto-sai's apprentice, Kaijinbo, after Inu-Yasha killed Goshinki. Sesshomaru and gang came upon Goshinki's remains and took a fang (?) to Kaijinbo to make it a sword. The Tokijin's powers are immense, as it is a truly evil sword that takes over Kaijinbo and makes him fight with InuYasha, who kills him. Toto-sai warned Sesshomaru that if he carried the Tokijin, he too would die. But we all know how badly Sesshomaru hates to be told what to do: he takes the sword and can actually use it with complete mastery of it.

So WHY do I like him so much? Well, beside the fact of being drop-dead GORGEOUS, he's actually got a fairly cool personality. He claims to hate humans...and yet, he brought Rin back to life, watches after and protects her, and even rescued her from Naraku!! Why? Does this mean he has some sort of kindness and doesn't wish to show it? Hm...and he also has a deep sense of honor about him (if a little bloodthirsty, but who isn't!?) and that's very cool. Add to the fact he has the total cliche of no-past-just-to-confuse-the-hell-outta-ya, and you have a pretty big reason to like him. LONG LIVE FLUFFY AND INUYASHA!!
