I never even thought of this couple until I went onto a few Jin and Touya shrines. And now that I think about it, it makes just as much sense as the other couples!!
They are never seen very far apart.While this could be simply comrady, it's obvious they know alot about one another. When Touya is telling Kurama during their fight about how he is "searching for the light", the camera turns to Jin and he bows his head.
SPOILERS!!
When Toguro and Yusuke face off, there's quite a bit of bloodshed in the audience section to boost up Toguro's power. Touya and Jin stand still, perfectly calm, and Jin summons a tornado to enshroud only them. Jin doesn't seem suprised at all, as if he expected as much.
Much, much, MUCH later in the Makai Tournament, Touya is obviously distressed during Jin's last fight, whereas Shishiwakamaru (also a friend) was swallowed whole by a demon.
WHAT!? SHISHI, NOOOOOOOOOOO!
