Vash "The Stampede"

"LOVE AND PEACE!!"

Vash and his trippy shades!! *.*

SQUEE!! SOL MADE ME ANGEL VASH!! *sobs with joy*

Vash...well, Vash isn't even all that human!! Fans of Trigun will remember the big ole lightbulb lookin' things outside almost every town and city. Well, those are plants left over fromt the Project Seeds. From what I have learned, when one of these plants get to a certain energy level, an actual child is produced. But this is no normal human child; they can't die from old age and always seem to look to be in their twenties. In the Trigun manga, they die if they use up all their powers or overexert themselves. Their hair will start to turn black, starting at the roots, and when all their hairs has turned black, they're deader then doornails. X_X

Vash was born along the way to a new planet, as was his twin (??) brother, Millions Knives. By the time they were a year old, they already appeared to be in their pre-teen years. That, and they were far smarter than most of the crew who cared for them!!

Most of the crew didn't care for them (one man by the name of Steve beat them on a regular basis and called them "animals", the jerk!), but Vash found happiness in Rem Saverem, who raised both Vash and Knives. Although she did her best to teach them the value of life, Knives began to grow bitter at the other crew members over time. He comes up with a VERY complex plan to kill not only the crew (save Rem, since Vash likes her so much) but all of the humans in Project Seeds. But this plan ultimately fails because of Rem and a small fraction of the Seeds ships survive with just enough people to populate the planet it landed on. Rem's death traumatized young Vash but Knives delighted in it. This ultimately turned the brothers against each other and now Vash believes it to be his duty to take his brother out.

Vash is your basic, goofy guy and seems to suffer the same personality split as Kenshin Himura ("Rurouni Kenshin"); most of the time, he's a, and I quote, "a bumbling idiot of a goody-goody and a sweet, gentle soul"...but then the action starts up (usually putting friends in harm) and he goes into what I like to call the "Diablo-Vash" mode with the glowing eyes and even some killing, despite Vash's morals. All in all, I like him because he fights for what he believes for and values the importance of human life. That, and he and I both LOVE doughnuts. And a drunk Vash is comedy from God...WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE!? ^.^
